Growing Tree Gifted™ began long before there was a business. It began with a

curious child growing up in a small mountain town, where nature wasn't a

backdrop — it was how I made sense of the world. Where my nervous system

could finally exhale. Where big questions had room to breathe.

​I was identified as gifted in elementary school — and was in and out of

GT programming by choice. Even then I understood something it took years to

put into words:

Giftedness is not a room you go to.

It's the way your mind works everywhere you are.

School was a difficult place for me to exist. I loved learning. I did not love school. I was ranked in the top ten of my class. The world only saw the grades. Internally was a very different story. It was learning and nature — not the institution — that pulled me through.

When I told my mother I wanted to leave high school, she didn't shut it down. She handed the question back to me — find something equal or better, think it through, bring it back. That kitchen-table conversation became the founding Brain Spark of everything I've built since.

​

​That founding Brain Spark grew into a career, a family, and eventually — two children who would teach me more than any classroom ever had.

​

Two and a half years later came my second child — a glass child, as they're known. The sibling of a child with complex needs. They too revealed their own beautifully unique mind. We were determined they would not simply be seen through. ​​​

​

​​

We are helping them become a stained glass child — every color theirs, every pattern chosen, not inherited.

​

​​Growing Tree Gifted is the result of all of it — the formal education, the lived experience, the deep belief that every gifted and neurodivergent mind deserves to do more than get through.​

​

Nova NeuroFox™ was born from this same philosophy. Nova represents curiosity without judgment, learning without shame, and the belief that every mind deserves the opportunity to understand itself.

Some grow quickly. Some grow slowly.
